Tripp started to get antsy, so we started the routine of how to make your infant happy when your in a place where it would be inappropriate to make a bunch of noise.

He was cranky and tired so we tried the baby carrier....worked for a cat nap....

With his second wind, Tripp discovers the fun of standing over an air vent!

Plum Good

Tripp surprised me the other day. We were in the food store and he started reaching for the plums. I gave him one figuring it would keep him busy for the rest of our supermarket excursion and there was no way he would be able to break through the skin....I was wrong! Not only did he get that first bite, he ate the whole thing! I had to take the plum away from him before he got too close to the pit. It's amazing what he can do with only 6 teeth!
Tripp likes plums.

Little Jack Horner sat in a corner
Eating his Christmas pie,
He put in his thumb and pulled out a plum
And said "What a good boy am I!"

Father's Day Fun

Sunday June 15, was not only Father's Day...it was also

Anna & Emma White's 1st Birthday!

Jess & I with our babes;
Emma, Tripp & Anna

I decided to make their gift. I must admit, I am not as motivated as you might think.....A fellow blogger has inspired me to become more crafty. She makes all sorts of lovely items. So I decided to try my hand at dyeing. Tie Dyeing to be specific. I took the time, spent the money and got real textile dyes and fixative chemicals. I decided that I would dye cute little dresses to resemble Strawberries or Watermelons...and I threw in a couple of tank tops for fun.

The results!
Unfortunately I did not get a chance to paint the seeds on the dresses...
looks like I'll be busy at our next play date!

It was a cloudy sky, but we didn't let that damper our day!
The girl's first birthday party was held at a pavilion in a local park in Cromwell, CT. It was great! We could play baseball, basketball, Frisbee, you name it and there was a playground only a short stroll away!

Then off to the playground to burn off some of that ice cream cake energy!

1 more wagon ride before we go

We had a great time but, Tripp was anxious to get home for some Daddy time!
