Going to Mexico!

We're going on vacation! Grands Capano are treating the family with a trip to Mexico!! Saturday afternoon we will be at Sandos Playacar in the Riviera Maya. It promises to be a great time with lots - o - fun in the sun! We can't wait to get Tripp into the ocean and see his reactions to the fish, animals and all that sand!
Tripp helped pack his clothes....

....and, he made sure to pack some
of his favorite toys!

Mommy's Funny Nose

Ti's the season...the season for my allergies to flair up. Needless to say, I am stuffed up! I have to blow my nose all the time....and sometimes I can really honk! Tripp thought my honking nose was sidesplitting hysterical!

Murdoch Wedding

Last weekend we journeyed up into the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, to Keene NY, for the wedding of our friends
John and Samantha Murdoch

When asked about his unusual choice of pose...
John replied, "Everyone has a little Captain in them!"
.....and the party began.

Ahhh, the Adirondacks. What a gorgeous backdrop.
We were so glad to spend this special day with our friends, in this beautiful place...... but, I must admit, we were a little sad. Bob and I had originally planned on taking Tripp on his first backpacking experience while in the High Peaks Region or at least base camp at our friends Bill & Sue's while we day hiked for a minimum of 4 days....... but then UCONN needed a painter and I needed the money. So we had to cancel our plans and head home for work in the morning. We had such a good time at our friends wedding our sorrows were quickly forgotten as we celebrated well into the night and Tripp slept snuggly in a pack 'n play.
Good-Bye Adirondacks we'll be back next summer.
As for backpacking?
It will have to wait until our White Mountains trip, ... coming up in a few weeks.

we made sure to visit our friends Bill & Sue and their kids Billy (8) and Aiden (4) in Paul Smiths while we were up there too.

CAT!

Tripp is fascinated with cats. He just can't get enough of this frisky felines. Perhaps it is because we do not have one...and never will. After a 3 night stay at Tom & Amber's with 3 cats last weekend, I think it is pretty safe to say I am not the only member of the Copley family who is allergic to cats - Tripp & Bob were both sneezie and puffy eyed. But, that didn't stop Tripp! By the end of our first evening he was chasing , petting & hugging them.

Another day at the park...

Another day, another trip to Memorial Park!
We love our new tradition of making the 5 mile hike to the playground in downtown Willimantic. The playground is beautiful and a hot spot for all the local babes. Tripp loves running up and down the ramps, climbing and of course going down the slide! He also loves playing with the other kids. :)

Woo! Hoo!

We finished the day with a trip to Dairy Queen...

Corn on the Cob!

Over 4th of July weekend we went to Scranton, PA to spend some quality time with our good friends, Tom & Amber.

No summertime, picnic table, good friends meal is complete without corn on the cob and Tripp was eager to try some too! It is amazing what this kid can do with only 6 teeth!

Visiting the Grands

After the Baptism of Tripp's cousin, Faith, we (Tripp & I ) decided to journey home to Long Island with the Grands Capano and Uncle Brian. This is one of several trips to NY as Bob & I fulfill our bartering agreement with my folks......Oh, they complain that it is taking us a long time to paint their house.....but they love every second of it!

On this particular day....I was in the process of changing Tripp's diaper when an impromptu game of Nudie Bootie, I'm gonna get'cha between Grandpa & Tripp broke out!

Tripp visited Grandpa at work.

He loved the dogie door...it's only a matter of time before he gets brave enough to go through it!

He loves ramps, hills, dips, gravity...he just loves running down hill! My parents have a huge hill of a driveway, it was great fun!

Grands Capano also taught Tripp how to hold his belly and laugh - too cute!

More hills!

On my birthday we went down to the waterfront in Northport....

...looked at the boats...

...and of course, checked out the playground!

....but his favorite of all the playground toys is always...the dirt, sand, gravel, pebbles, rubber mulch. You name it! He loves to throw it, dig in it, touch it....he loves it!

Bob surprised me with Mets-VS-Yankee tickets for my birthday. This was extra special because Shea Stadium is closing this summer. :-( There was also an extra surprise....Bob got us tickets in the same box as our good friend Jessi!!!!
Back on Long Island....we left Tripp to spend some quality time and he chose to dedicate that time to Uncle Brian! He was glued to Uncle Brian. He wanted Uncle Brian to take him outside, answer his "Whaz tha?!" questions, cuddle with, etc...
