McTripp

Bob is in technical rehearsal and doesn't get home until after we are in bed....so, we decided to indulge in a little McDonald's! I know, I know. Not the most nutritious meal I could feed him but, we all deserve a little Mickey D's from time to time!
He loved those chicken nuggets and dipping sauce!

Ouchies!

A weekend of firsts.

First bee stings....
2 of them! We were out on a walk and as usual we cut through the school to stop at the playground. On our way home, Tripp started screaming! I ran over to discover 2 bees on his back with their stingers still in him!
.
Luckily, he is not allergic. They never grew any larger than mosquito bites and he was back to himself in no time......just long enough for a good cry.
On the bright side - at least we weren't on a backpacking trip for his first bee stings!
His first bandaide-able boo-boo....
While helping Daddy gather wood for the evening campfire, Tripp fell down and skinned his finger. It was pretty bloody, we had to cut the dead skin off, and apply hydrogen peroxide and bacitracin. He's a trooper and in no time he was back to enjoying the evening festivities!

Mystic Aquarium

Grands Capano came for a visit last weekend and we went to Mystic Aquarium. After our visit to Cabello's Outdoor Store, and Tripp's fascination with the fresh water aquarium, we knew this trip would be a slam dunk!
Ready to go!

Whoa! Whales!

Then it was off to see the Sea Lions. We were lucky enough to get there just in time for a feeding and training session.

Tripp was so interested he practically jumped out of my arms! He wanted to go swimming with these giant creatures

These animals can weigh up to 600 lds!!

Penguins Habitat

An underwater view

Tripp likes birds! I have always had a fondness for our feathered friends. I have been mommy to several and look forward to the day when we can have one in our home again. (Bob wants to wait until nap times are a thing of the past)
