Thanksgiving weekend

Tripp in his post car ride daze

Thanksgiving weekend we made the 3 1/2 hour trek down to Long Island to celebrate with my family. We left Wed night, in hopes that Tripp would sleep the entire time, through traffic and all, and he did! We arrived at Grands Capano's abode around 10:30pm and Tripp was quickly re-energized! He loves dogs and having Cedar and Brandy together is always exciting! We have tons of short video clips of Tripp chasing the dogs and Grandpa, which will be posted in the near future...until then, this super post of pics will surely satisfy.

A 3-way tug o war!

We were also Thankful last weekend that, my brother and Tripp's godfather, Chris was able to join us. Chris has been going through a rough patch and has been distant towards his family. Through some phone call coaxing we were able to convince him to spend the holiday with his family. As an added bonus he brought along Uncle Steve!

Tripp got a cool new toy from Uncle Chris!

As always......my Dad was teaching Tripp some bad habits
Yummy! Champagne!
Makes my gums feel so good!

Family Shot

My folks invited their friends Lorraine & Ronny to join us for the Thanksgiving feast. They even came bearing gifts for the wee ones (Tripp & Faith - even though Faith, my brother's daughter, was not with us physically she was still in our thoughts)
Thanks again Lorraine & Ronny!

Tripp loves playing with his toys at Grands Capano's house

This is my mom's Boo doll from Monsters Inc....

Tripp just loves to make her talk and sing, so sweet!

Taking Mater out for a ride

Wake up Da Da, Time for dessert!

MMMMmmmm, Ice -Cream Cake - compliments of Lorraine & Ronny

Tripp was ready to dive in!

Working off that sugar rush

Getting a little pre-bed snuggling in with Uncle Chris and his dog patches.

Unfortunately Christopher's visit did not end well. He picked a fight and left the house in a storm.......we wonder if and when we will ever see Chris again. I believe the stress and sorrow of being ripped apart from his daughter is changing him. I hope that when he figures out what is happening with his daughter he will return to us as the man we remember and love.

The morning after Thanksgiving Day, Black friday, we continued on our merry way by starting the day off with some breakfast at the Candlelight Diner

Then off to Target to visit Uncle Brain.

Tripp immediately threw himself into Brian's arms - Tripp & Brian have a special bond, Tripp thinks he's hysterical! ;-)

Our big Black Friday event.....finding Tripp gloves. I know, we're big spenders!

Then homeward bound for some Christmas decorating fun.

But first a snack break with Grandpa. Pops is so happy to have someone to share his love of Chestnuts with! Grandpa & Tripp also share a special bond - they're buddies

Time to set up the Christmas Tree!

Whew! Putting up the tree and spreading out all of the branches is tiring....time for a quick Mickey Mouse Clubhouse break!

Back to work! Tripp helped decorate the tree!

Sorting through the ornaments with Grandma - AAhhh...pretty!

Taking the train ornament for a quick spin before placing it on the tree - Choo! Choo!

That night Bob & I were treatedf to a night out.
Thanks to our Grandparent babysitters!!

A night of Poker with friends Frankie, Aly, Mike and Roger (not in pic)
Not everyone was drinking at poker night.....Aly is 24 weeks pregnant!

Aly & Mike Alverez
(Alyssa Marie due March 28)

Saturday, it was off to the Festival of the Trees to benefit UCP
Tripp got a handy ID and made a teddy bear with Grandma!

Then we were off to Rosevelt Field Mall, to look at puppies, toys & Santa!

Tripp climbed into the display window at Pottery Barn Kids
& made the cutest window display ever!

Unfortunately, Tripp was scared of Santa. He's going through a funny phase - he was scared at Halloween too! Hopefully he gets over this bizarre fear of grown men dressed up as Holiday characters and we can try another day for a Santa pic!

Even with Mommy by his side, he was not havin it!
