The Drive - In

Last night we went to the Mansfield Drive- In ! We are so lucky to have one of the last Drive - In Movie Theaters in the USA. And it is family owned and operated, which helps create a great atmosphere. The drive in is our summer date spot. We have always loved the outdoor summer movies and discovered a new appreciation for them after Tripp was born. We realized......We can still go to the movies!
It is a big hit with the all of the families and many gather there early in the evening to claim a prime spot and tailgate. Also, it's a double feature - 2 movies for the price of 1! (If you can stay awake that long)

Last night we went to see Indiana Jones with our friends Bill & Gina.

After dinner it was time to swing at the movie theatre's playground.

Then, change into Jammies and some dump truck fun!

And, Peek - a - boo with Gina!

9pm....sun is down....time to cozy up in the back of the van......movie time!!!

Indiana Jones was a great time, next we moved the van to see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". Not so good. Tripp passed out during the first 10 minutes of Indi, and I joined him after the first ten minutes of Sarah Marshall.

Resolution # 3

Resolution #3 - Be more active

The Copley's have a long list of New Year's Resolutions and #3 is a very enjoyable way to stay healthy!

Saturday was the last day of Baby Swimming lessons and Daddy joined us! I think having two of us there to pass him around and play with made the water much more fun.
Tripp is just starting to enjoy the water, so it figures that the lessons are over. Good thing our friends Erin & Lukas have a pool, and so does Grands Capano. This is a very good thing because....... We're going to Cancun at the end of July!!! Woo! Hoo! Grandma & Grandpa Capano are treating us to a Capano family vacation. We can't wait!
So, Tripp needs to get familiar with the water and Mommy and daddy need to shed some pounds!

Last day of swimming.....

with Erin & Lukas.....Circle Time - Sing and Swim

After lunch it was time for Mommy and Daddy's activity - hiking.
We ventured out onto the Nipmuck Trail.

Yup....he's a climber. a rock climber!

We stopped at the top for some exploring and snacks.

While we were out and about Tripp pointed out to us once again that he is fearless!

Hot Dog

Kids love Mickey Mouse!

Almost every morning at daycare, Tripp's buddy Melvin, (age 3), gets to watch a cartoon while he eats his breakfast. What show does Melvin choose? Mickey Mouse, of course! Tripp loves it and has definitely developed a love for Mickey as well. When ever he sees Mickey, on a book, a toy, etc... he smiles and giggles with excitement and recognition.

Tripp has been eating lots of big people food , with his whopping 6 1/2 teeth, and loves hotdogs. Coincidentally that is the name of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse's Closing Song -

"The Hot Dog Dance"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wePMYM4av6Q

Sometimes Bob & I will sing the song for him while he eats and Tripp will happily join us with some highchair dancing......but, as you'll see, after 1 or 2 times he has to stop to stare at his silly parents who keep on singing well after he is finished dancing....it might have to do with the fact that neither Bob or I know the words to the song!
