Cowboys

As you all know Tripp is a G-Man. However, when the Giants are not playing he is allowed to humor his daddy and route for the Cowboys. For months I have been able to disguise the truth to all of my husband's southern family by pointing out that my brother, Chris -Tripp's Uncle and Godfather, has showered Tripp in Giants gear; not I. Therefor allowing the Cowboy fans to believe that there was a chance that Tripp could ever love their team. This false hope, my NY pride and Bob's whining to his sister, Goldie -Tripp's Aunt and Godmother, inspired her to send Tripp his very own Dallas Cowboys jersey. Bob was so excited to see his son in his favorite team's colors he put the jersey on him as soon as it got here! Finally Tripp has a Cowboys jersey to wear on game days. It was clear, this was truly a proud moment.

So I am using this post as my opportunity to apologize to my southern in-laws.
I should've been honest with them from the beginning......the truth is, you don't have a chance.....

No matter what shade...my boy looks good in blue

Last summer....

I have started a filing system that is by date to help me archive my precious pictures. Sometimes I find myself with the same date from last year.
Here are the results from the June 7th folder.

A weekends worth...

We had some beautiful weather this weekend and Tripp was excited to enjoy it! Almost immediately, Tripp was fussy......we tried everything...ended up he just wanted to be outside! And Bob and I couldn't be happier :-) We love the outdoors and thankfully our son does too.
(Good thing cause we are going camping and backpacking this summer!)

He loves playing with the dogs

Playing Ball

Tripp has a very important job in our household - Inspector.

Here he is inspecting the rocks
a fallen twigobserving the general area

the mulch

He has started to expand his job title to aerodynamics. Yup,...he's a thrower! He love, love, loves to check the physics involved by asking the question "Do falling objects drop at the same rate?" So far he has checked the gravel from the driveway, the mulch, sand from his sandbox, sand from the playground, toys, sippy cups,.... I am guilty. A good mom would tell her child to stop throwing things and stop the habit before it begins....but I can't...it's too funny...because, whenever Tripp throws something he squeals and holds a finishing pose...just like a Kung Fu Master :-)

After all of his Kung Fu posing is done it's time to unwind with some afternoon Yoga.

Sunday was the same. We woke up at 7:30am and were out the door on an adventure by 8:30am. It was off to the Elementary School playground across the street from our house.
Does the posing ever stop?!

He walked all the way to the playground by himself and only fell 2x!

Our Little Bruiser

He loves exploring the playground

After waking up from a nap and eating some lunch, it was time to explore another playground. So we walked downtown to Memorial Park..but first a quick stop at Dairy Queen. Tripp impressed everyone with his independent feeding skills!

Off to the playground!

It was a great weekend!

Art Show

Today was the student art show and Tripp spent the day with me at work!

He loved hanging with the big kids.

He ran up & down the ramp all day long!

Checking out some animations with my car pool buddy, John.

We spent allot of time in the art computer lab today. We had all of the animations playing on the monitors and Tripp was in cartoon heaven!! He would run from one computer to the next, checking out the animations and squealling with excitement.

These are his 2 favorites -

Pencil

Green Monster

My fellow art teacher, April, brought her daughter to the show too!

Tripp & Talia browsing through the sculpture room.

Tripp's new wheels.

One of my students gave Tripp a super cool hand-me-down - a dirt bike tricycle. It has a hand break and gold rims.

Taking his girl Talia for a spin.

Hugs

Playing ball with P.E teacher & friend, Marissa - Hey! Great Name!

Another fellow art teacher, Denise, brought in this giant moose for napping and cuddling!

We are performing a scene from Alice in Wonderland for my Theatre Design class. The toy tea pot set was stored in my office and Tripp discovered it. He then found an old VHS tape holder from before I worked at GHS and the school had an analog video editing program......old stuff, and sorted the plates in the tape slots!

Relaxing after a fun day!
