Giant Vacation Post!

This is one of my favorite pics, because it has a monkey in it with our monkey and it looks like that monkey is farting in my ear - too funny!

I know it's been awhile and you have all been so patient! School is about to start, I am working on another video job and yadda, yadda, yadda.....but when I got an email from Aunt Philomena, I knew it was time to update! So thanks Aunt Phil for lighting a fire under me, now I can check one more item off of my list of things to do before school starts....tomorrow!

Packed & Ready To Go!

This was Tripp's first time on an airplane. Bob & I were so worried that he would have ear popping problems and staying put issues, but we were wrong! He did great! We were very fortunate and were the happy recipients of a blocked seat for Tripp! (He did not have a seat, he is a lap seat.) So, he played some games, ate some food and drink, sat on Grandpa's lap and watched the world go by below until he was ready to settle down and take a nice long nap. Bonus, when he woke up the 2nd in-flight movie had started : Horton hears a Who "

Then we arrived in beautiful Mexico to begin our week of relaxation & jubilation!

We stayed at Sandos Playacar in the Riviera Maya.

Beautiful!

We all loved spending time in the pool by our rooms.....the baby monitor transmitter could reliably reach this area, we found a cozy spot next to the kiddie pool area to set up camp, it was not crowded...and this pool was equipt with a swim up bar and nearby buffet!

Camp Capano/Copley

Tequila!

Tripp loved the swim up bar too. Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri Mix was a special treat, way better than apple juice!

Tripp is a little fish. He loves swimming! So I gues it's official, we'll sign up for more swimming lessons and Mommy will wear a bathing suit year round - the things we do for our children!

1, 2, 3, Jump!

Tripp's hang out...

Tripp's ride

Thank goodness we packed the Ergo Baby Carrier! I knew it would come in handy for shopping in downtown Playa del Carmen. It was also a life saver when it came to getting to the beach! Not only did it free up my hands so I could carry other things but it also stopped any thoughts from Tripp of getting down and walking during our stroll to the beach, which was located on the opposite end of the resort from our rooms. Although a bit long, it was a lovely and relaxing walk that Bob, Trip and I enjoyed.....who's hard to handle? not my baby!

but, I must admit...even with our love of walking, sometimes we opted for the shuttle cart.

Discovering his shadow!
This was entertaining for Tripp and everyone around us.

Sharing a laugh with Grandpa

Beach time!

This was Bob's hat when he was a baby. His mom (Grandma Amy) saved it and sent it to us as soon as she knew we were having a boy. Too Cute!!!

He buried himself and Grandma in the sand!

Story time with Uncle Brian

Cuddling with Grandma

Monkey Boy!

We had a blast wave jumping in the ocean. Grandma even got her hair wet!

He was too young to join the kid camp,
but he loved watching them during thier evening activities.

Tripp loves big kids!

another favorite evening activity was running up & down the ramps

As most of you know, my parents are big kids. They get a kick out of being silly and for this trip they decide to buy us matching outfits to wear poolside....these are my parents usual cothing choices when in Mexico.

Do-Rags and Muscle shirts for the boys.....

..Sexy babe cover ups for the girls.
Mom and I got much more attention for our outfits then the boy did....even though Tripp is too cute in his baby do-rag and sunglasses!

Fun in the sun is exhausting!

Then it was time to say Adios Mexico and head home to re-pack and head down to Arkansas..... That's right another HUGE blog comming soon. Until then, I'll leave with this big boy image:

walking in the airport!
